Comic Book Cover Illustration
I've worked for every comic book publisher at some point. Here's a selection of some of my cover work (uncolored.)
Ever since I was five years and got my first comic book off a grocery store stand, I've been in love with sequential art. I've drawn runs on such titles as G.I.JOE, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, HALLOWEEN, EXILES, DEADPOOL and many others.
FULL ILLUSTRATION (color by me)
When time permits I love coloring my own work. Here's a selection of some of my full-color illustration work, for a variety of publishers.
PUBLICATION ART (colors by others)
I've had the opportunity to work with some amazing collaborators in my career. Here's a selection of my art with colors by some of the industry's best colorists.

I don't JUST draw comics! In fact I began my career illustrating children's books. Since then I've worked on a variety of projects, including on posters for the SCREAM film DVD set, as well as marketing art for the C2E2 convention. My most famous illustration is probably the label for 3Floyd's ZOMBIE DUST beer which I illustrated with my brother, Steve Seeley.
At some point I started doing more writing for comics, and have since gone on to write a number of series for every major publisher. I also co-wrote the book THE ART OF THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE with my brothr, Steve Seeley, for DARK HORSE PUBLISHING and MATTEL.
I've never been content to only work on other people's properties. My original properties HACK/SLASH, REVIVAL and SUNDOWNERS have been optioned for film and television. And hey, maybe someday we'll get a LOVEBUNNY & MR.HELL cartoon. No? Aw.
For one day in rural central Wisconsin, the dead came back to life. Now it's up to Officer Dana Cypress to deal with the media scrutiny, religious zealots, and government quarantine that has come with them. In a town where the living have to learn to deal with those who are supposed to be dead, Officer Cypress must solve a brutal murder, and everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect. The sell-out hit series was created by NYT Bestselling author TIM SEELEY and Eisner winning artist MIKE NORTON.
In almost every slasher movie, there's one girl who makes it all the way to the end. She's the survivor... the last girl. Meet Cassie Hack, the lone survivor of an attack by a vicious slasher called The Lunch Lady. Now, Cassie — along with her monstrous partner, Vlad — travels the country, hunting down other slashers before they can leave a trail of blood and terror.
In the near future, nuclear Holy War has decimated North America and humanity's last stronghold is the dome metropolis of New Vatican City. When vampires attack, the Church turns to a clone of Jesus Christ Himself to protect them! But all is not as it seems for the Test Tube Messiah, as he's drawn into a web of betrayal, bloodshed, and seduction!
One's a natural born killer—a remorseless hunter gleefully prowling the night for victims to quench an unnatural blood lust. The other's a vampire. His centuries of existence have left him world weary and detached, until one day his thirst is reinvigorated when the deadly and intricate work of the Sanguine Killer catches his eyes.
Lovebunny & Mr. Hell
Beth Bowers, aka Lovebunny, is a well intentioned but slightly ditsy super-heroine trying to make it in the world. When trying to gain acceptance in the super community, her side kick/roommate/pet, Mr. Hell, can make things complicated. But for a creature from Hell he has a big heart, and that's Beth's weak spot.
Faster than lightning! Stronger than steel! Crazier than an outhouse rat? Enter the Sudowners--sworn to protect humanity from inter-dimensional invaders! But is the threat real, or all in their heads?
Chondra Jackson is a star who fell to Earth. A preteen actress who was an idol to millions, she solved space crimes before dinnertime, playing Bebe Soma on the smash-hit kids' TV show Star Cops. But all stars fade, and after Chondra aged out of the spotlight, the sex tape she made in an attempt to extend her 15 minutes wound up destroying her career. Now she works as a beat cop in her hometown of Effigy Mound, Ohio, where she's about to catch a case as crazy as anything the Star Cops ever faced. Chondra's fans, it turns out, are still obsessively dedicated to her, having built a close-knit community through message boards, conventions and cosplay. And someone is killing them, one by one. Someone who knows the strange truth behind Star Cops' fiction and the reclusive writer who created it. Someone who knows that fandom is the new true religion. Someone who knows that God is an alien life-form, and that real stars shine on forever... Co-creators Tim Seeley and Marley Zarcone put the "cult" back in "pop culture.”

In the days to come, a super powered teenage girl wipes the heavily disputed Old City of Jerusalem from the face of the globe. Now, in American dystopia after the "Lady Last Word Incident", a click-bait headline writing "journalist" holds the key to a med-tech conspiracy that could turn people into gods for the price of days off their lives. But in a world where news is tailored to every viewpoint, will anyone believer her?
A sci-fi superhuman epic from Tim Seeley, the writer of Revival and Grayson, and breakout art sensation Priscilla Petraites!
"Polly Peachpit." Those were the words ten-year-old Brinke Calle said when she was found covered in her own blood by the woods in rural Cannon Falls, MN. Her best friend, Melba, had just attempted to murder her because a spider girl named Polly Peachpit told her to.
Since that day, Melba has spent seven years in a mental health facility. Tomorrow is her eighteenth birthday. Tomorrow, she'll be transferred to a federal prison. Tomorrow, her real sentence will begin.
That is until she receives a visit from FBI Agent Virgil Crockett. Crockett explains that there is another world beyond ours, where hungry spectral aliens stalk the minds of the impressionable and weak. These things, called IMPs (Interdimensional Mental Parasites) feed on compliance. They convince hosts to do things for them, and the more they feed, the stronger they become. More IMPs stream into the world each day, invisible to everyone but his or her hosts.
After years of drugs and counseling, Polly and Melba have developed a unique relationship--and to Crockett, this relationship represents something her people can work with. In exchange for release from prison, Crockett asks Melba (and Polly) to serve as IMP hunters. For Melba, it's a chance to prove that she's innocent, convinced to murder by a monster...a monster she must now unleash.
She is GRAVE DANGER, agent of HEADSTONE, a joint clandestine espionage organization that handles all unspeakable crime! [UNSPEAKABLE CRIME- Illegal acts committed by paranormal entities such as vampires, witches, demons, and Frankensteins.] Agent Danger leaps into action from the suborbital MOURNING ANGEL base, afraid of nothing! [Except getting her sneakers dirty. And heights.]
[Also, her past.]
GRAVE DANGER is a horror/spy mash up. Like James Bond vs. The Universal Monsters. Yeah, I don't know why that isn't already a thing either. It's sexy, dark, funny, and action-packed. It's completely unique and batsh*t crazy.

For this campaign, I worked with Karl Helfrich of Cacao Barry. Cacao Barry produces chocolate marketed exclusively to chefs, and they wanted to get across the message that their chocolate was as much a creative tool as a pencil. To this end, we teamed well known Chicago pastry chefs with comic book artists to create a character concept and comic strip inspired by a dessert recipe, and held a public art gallery/sampling.
